“Loggia Townes at Uptowne Plaza”

Do people actually get paid to come up pompous names like this?

The finances may be tricky. There’s not even a shell of an apartment building and then a handful if weird “loggia townehomes” along Conn that seem to have no privacy. Pricing will be everything.

Because the developer probably isn’t that competent. Doesn’t really know the area and more significantly, it obviously ran out of money to finish the project.

Don't worry, Charles Allen and Brianne Nadeau will introduce an amendment to force the DC government to (illegally) pay 5x the value of the building to make it a voucher hotel.

The Loggia Townes at Uptowne Plaza developer is Velocity Property Management. It seems that they've hit Negative Velocity. Or maybe it's Terminal Velocity, when something in free fall reaches maximum downward speed?

The vibrant mixed-use Loggia Townes at the Uptowne Piazza.

Apparently the developer had more pretension than cash.

Pictures of Uptowne Plaza. Where's the Loggia?

There's also a taller apartment building under construction on the size street, but it's just a concrete skeleton.

Construction was halted and cranes removed at the "Loggia Townes at Uptown Plaza", the mixed-use development at the old Macklin site on Connecticut Avenue. Word is that the developer stopped paying its contractors and is insolvent. Apparently concrete shells will remain for some time while the site is shuttered.
