I got this advice from this board back in March and happily wore my Hokas through London and Paris. Excellent choice for me.
She didn't say anything about not wanting to look like a tourist (which is the dumbest impulse anyway -- you ARE a tourist, who cares if you look like one?). I don't understand why you interjected this caveat instead of just answering the question.
To OP -- the sneaker is probably less important than the insoles. Get some good insoles with arch support.
