Over 40, you really should add in weight training. This will help move the scale. 2 cardio workouts a week isn’t much either.

This. It's only been a week. You don't need to run to the doctor, JFC.

I’m rattled because I really made a big effort this week.

Age is key here. Over 40, still some hope. Over 50, gets very hard. Also over 50, there's the bonus of if you have a cheat meal/day/snack, it all comes back.

Nope. Over 50 no problem, same as before.

I posted something similar to this this week and it was suggested that I am eatinf more calories than I think. I am not.

But my weight issue started in my 40s with a thyroid problem and has never left even though i'm on meds. So that's pretty much it. You sound like me. Here's the frustrating part. I literally stay between 1000 to 1500 cal, usually 1300, every day with **zero** loss in weight. Yet if I stray from that count, as in 2000 calories because I went out for dinner or a wedding, rarely, my weight SHOOTS UP. Si even though I won't lose weight, the gaining part in surreal

Intermittent fasting worked for me after dinner at 7 no food until 7 the next day and eating smaller portions. 10k steps a day. Bonus is high intensity cardio 3x a week.

Go get your thyroid checked and talk to your doctor. I am assuming you exercise already.

I’ve been really, truly counting calories (1300) for over a week and my weight has not budged. This is about the 3rd time I’ve worked to lose 10-15 lbs and every other time the scale starts to move immediately. I absolutely swear I am being honest with tracking. Ughhh. Any advice?
