Agree that Young Sheldon is a surprisingly good show, particularly the first few seasons. I think it’s one of the best shows in at least a decade and is a million times better than TBBT.

I never watched it in the beginning, but when I started watching Ghosts I would catch part of it. I thought it was good and started watching the whole thing. Last night they showed a few clips of the first show, and the kids are so little! It is a great show, and I'll give the spin off a try. Even though I knew it was coming, it was still a shock to see it happen on last night’s episode. Although they definitely hinted towards it by having him on the ladder. And his last scene when no one said goodbye was telling.

There were lots of articles last night about this from Chuck Lorre and the showrunners about last night’s episode and also how the George on YS was purposely different than how he was referred to on BBT.

I have not watched YS very much the last couple of seasons but I want to see the end. Last week’s episode with the “recruiting” was great.

I just asked this week on the CBS thread if George's death would be shown on Young Sheldon, but even so I was not expecting it! I never saw any previews or interviews discussing this.

My impression from TBBT was that George wasn't a great father, but I don't feel that Young Sheldon portrayed him that way.

There was a question about if, how, when the dad would die. The thread title is direct.

It’s not a spoiler if a fact has been know since before a show was even created ! The big band theory referenced several times that George Copper died.
