I don’t know much but I’m pretty sure bashing a teacher is not the way to get into AAP.

Great. The takeaway from my comment was don’t waste the appeal bashing the teacher/classroom. Make the case for your kid.

I don’t think teachers see them but I’d be willing to bet the packet goes back to the school as part of student record. Either way, I personally wouldn’t waste the little space you have building your case for your child on bashing the teacher and learning environment.

That’s not true. They are sent to the school after the screening process.

No. They cannot read them, they never have them. The appeals packets are sent directly to the central committee where they evaluated and then destroyed, whether admitted or not. The classroom teachers and school administration never see them.

The teachers have zero to do with the appeals. Our AART actively dissuades us from even talking with parents about them.

I am just curious. A lot of what I am including in the letter is what she has relayed that she sees in the classroom. I know she is not the one making the decision and that it is the central committee but I was just wondering.
