If the latter, she has admitted repeatedly that it was hers. Including when she was back here and able to speak freely

T&C is not a hostile nation to the US like Russia is, and Griner is “famous” and these guys are not, Russia could have extorted us by holding her on trumped up spy charges or charges of gay activity, but Griner did them the favor of actually breaking a law.

I know why Biden did it, but I do think there should be a limit as to what we are willing to trade on exchange for our citizens breaking laws abroad. At some point, you start encouraging foreign governments to take hostages. If you’re going to go abroad, you have a responsibility to abide by the local laws. You’re not entitled to the same rights you are here.

Turks and Caicos is threatening to jail two American men for 12 years for accidentally having bullets in their luggage at the airport. Doesn't seem like something that deserves 12 years. Why is the administration not working to free them?
