This. He could be in the infield building sandcastles, or in the outfield picking dandelions and watching airplanes. Instead, he’s watching where the ball goes and channeling his excitement/nervous energy into movement. It’s an easy step for the coach to teach him to go from flossing to tracking the ball and backing up the appropriate fielder.
