With the renovation at Coolidge Senior High School, that option will look more and more attractive. Especially as it would be walkable to these neighborhoods.

Better than driving.

1- it’s a revision not an elimination
2 - lots of kids in Mt Pleasant, 16th St heights and Shepherd Park attend Deal and JR by right and will for 3-4 more years. The buses run 3x/day, m-f during the school year only. These aren’t making or breaking the WMATA budget.

Absolutely.

I would also add that for the folks upset about Circulator cuts, if WMATA is going to take those routes they gotta cut service somewhere else.

If so, why not roll up your sleeves and improve them. That's how schools west of Rock Creek got better - parental involvement, pressure and holding people accountable.

Revisionist af.

This will be a disaster. When I need to get into the officer early on some days, my kids take the D34.

This is insane to me given all the students who commute west of the park public and private schools. If Metro eliminates these routes, there will be no way for students to get there. Those buses are absolutely packed. I don't get how the planners can be so unaware of how the city's students get to schools.

People who care about this may want to start contacting Metro or their council members.
