Or any others that weekend that would be good for a group of 2008/2009 girls? They all play club/varsity soccer and are looking to have some fun/get some touches/competition in before the season starts. How is the level of play at these events/will there be enough older girls' teams?

I wouldn’t say it’s low as much as it’s variable. My ECNL DD and her friends used to play, but she’s also played with other friends’ teams that are in low NCSL divisions. Either way, it’s really fun.

Is the SYC 2014 doing it again? Hope so.

FYI there will be at least 1 other 2014 competitive team from DC at the tournaments below, so if any other competitive players are thinking about it but hesitant due to unknown level, go form a team and sign up! Would be enjoyable to have some challenging/fun games.

If you want to attempt to be in the same bracket, at registration use "Division: 2013/2014 Boys" "2014 premiere" "Competitive Level: Advanced".

Yes, "3v3 Live". Most 3v3 tournaments in the area will be affiliated with this league, however Arlington's tourney is unaffiliated. Both have decent turnout at U10/11. There's also a 4v4 Dutch Cup in Covenant Park MD this summer.

Google "3v3 soccer tournaments" and you'll get a bunch of hits. My kid did tournaments like the 3v3 Live ones, Arlington does one. Alexandria does one. I never saw or heard of a league though, but I always wanted to create an unofficial one. Just get the kids to meet up each week and play. Keep standings, etc. over the summer. 3v3 is a lot of fun.
