We’re talking about personalized clothing.

My kids are in college, and they still wear the Bar/Bat mitzvah hoodies (and they have a zillion hoodies - trying to get them to part with any is near impossible)

I hate these both because they are exclusionary and also they have such a short shelf life and are essentially not do stable. The last thing some teen in a homeless shelter wants is a sweatshirt from some party they didn’t go to. It’s almost cruel to donate them.they are such landfill waste.

Depends on the kid, and on the niceness of the sweatshirt! My kid is at a Jewish school so has been to around 40 already. Many kids wear the sweatshirts to school (everyone is invited to everyone’s so no meanness), people have their favorites, which don’t necessarily correlate with who their closest friends are. My own kid doesn’t wear them and doesn’t take them anymore.

We went to one and yes the kids wear them... but it was a very popular upscale brand and the kids were able to add graphics of their choice at the event.

Around the house maybe but ours went right to the donation pile. Pj pants are a different story.
