I wish there was a 40+ strength training group. That is all.

LOL, no, pilates is not strength training.
Not saying it isn't beneficial, but you will only get so strong doing pilates.

Yes, form-based training is a much better initial investment of time and money. Then you can go to some classes of your choice and know that you won’t get hurt lifting with poor form!

I don't have a suggestion, but I am also curious.

I struggle to have the motivation/dedication to lift weights on my own. I had success a long time ago with BodyPump at a work gym, but I would prefer lower reps/higher weight than they offer. I also had a TON of success working with a personal trainer, but would like to avoid the expense.

I'm looking for group (preferably small) that focus on strength training. Those seem hard to come by...

I am 40+ and go to a Gold’s closest to my house, which is full of 20-30 year old’s. I don’t do classes though.

SweatDC. I go to the one on Georgia Ave but there's a new one on H st NE. Best results ever and I've always worked out.

Highly recommend.

Any gym will do that has free weights and machines. I have belonged to Equinox forever and have always liked it. That said, it has gotten ridiculously expensive in the last few years so I switched to the new St. James in Bethesda, but that is way too far from SWDC. May also want to look into Vida Fitness.

I am bored with doing it at home. I want to try some in person classes. Any suggestions? I live in SW DC now but willing to try other parts of DC.
