What happens if they are in Geometry currently in 8th?


The exam is given when the student completes the course, regardless of grade.

Sitting for the Algebra MCAP is a graduation requirement. Passing is not. The Government and Biology exams, are also graduation requirements and are now worth 20% of the 2nd semester beginning with class of 2027.

There are no requirements for anything in MCPs from the parent’s perspective. Admin will ignore prerequisite requirements, absences, referrals, late assignments and whatever as long as you are EML, FARMS or a POC. If you’re white, just have the parents threaten a lawsuit. If you’re a teacher….too bad so sad because you are responsible for cleaning up everyone’s mess

They just need to take the Algebra. They do not need to pass it.

They just need to take the Algebra. They do not need to pass it.

What happens if a child does not do well on MCAP in 8th (Math, SS, ELA)? Are there consequences to doing poorly?
