These are all really great suggestions, esp the the sets for different shifts.

I wonder if nurses are tired of baked items or the temptation of unhealthy food? Like the sandwich/fruit tray idea and also the basket of gum, energy drinks etc.

Long time night shift nurse who often got told oh so and sos family brought treats- nothing left at 7pm. 😭

All good suggestions except the gift cards. Technically we aren't allowed to accept gifts that leave the unit unless everyone on the unit gets it. I mean it happens of course,

Another suggestion is a gift basket filled with snacks, gum, hydration powder packets, Celsius drinks, etc. I've seen these before popular lately.

Sandwich tray and fruit tray were always welcome when we were dealing with MIL's lengthy stay.

We tried to provide something on all shifts. Food goes fast so you want to find out when the night shift comes on and have something for them as well.

Edible Arrangements is my go to

If you're taking it to a hospital unit, we accept and appreciate everything. The most common is bakery items, but we've had full catered meals brought in and travel sized lotions. We will eat homemade items too. A family member brought in a quiche recently.

I’ve only tried raspberry, pecan, plain, mint, and cream cheese. Favorite was cream cheese and raspberry followed by mint. I’d probably get a sampler pack so I could try everything. Even the plain one is delicious. I’m a great baker and can’t compete with these. They’re very rich and moist, best brownies I’ve ever eaten.

Starbucks gift cards. Fairly usable...even if not their speed they will know someone who can use them.

It's a way to buy someone a coffee when you don't know them. And for those who don't drink coffee, there's tea, pastries, and hot chocolate. $10 would be fine. $15 or $25 better. A fancy coffee and pastry might be more than $10.

Any suggestions on a good food gift to a group of nurses that took care of a loved one? Was thinking chocolates but open to other suggestions - it's a group of about 12 nurses btw.
