Or do they have room outside? A play structure themed around something the kid is into could be cool (my dad made a playhouse for me as a kid and a train car for my kid that got lots of use; could do pirate ship, or zoo keepers house, or construction crane. Three is such a great age for pretend play!)
My dad also made a pretty cool treehouse/ wilderness cabin doll house and trucks/airplanes and animal pull toys. The later didn’t get a lot of “play” but were gorgeous and much appreciated decorations now that he’s passed.
Oh, and pirate chests!! Maybe more appreciate a bit older, but if filled with ‘treasure’ a three year old might love it - and it’s a great keepsake as they get older (my teen boys still use theirs).
