During COVID, the community pool didn’t open until noon so we were able to book a private party from 10-noon

We did this once during Covid in northern Virginia but I’m in Montgomery County so would need somewhere closer

Thanks! I saw this option now. Would people feel weird about having a party at some random people’s house? This sounds like an ideal scenario for us because we can “rent” the whole pool.

We went to a pool party once at a pool rented on swimply, like Airbnb but for pools. Check the listings carefully since some are clear that parties aren't allowed. And I recommend keeping it small and/or enlisting help (ideally a lifeguard) to watch the kids.
