The answer to your questions depends a lot on where you are in life. Before kids? I would have taken the new job in your scenario. Young kids? No way. Now that my kids are all in high school? Remote sounds good but travel not for a couple more years.

It would have to be more than 20k for me. I make 185k now with a 20% annual bonus. The best things about my current job that I would hate to risk losing is 100% remote, travel is only twice per year to the home office, I can get my work done in 25-30 hours per week, great relationship with boss, PTO that is actually unlimited, I’m an expert in my area of the company and am comfortable in my work. I’ve seen my position at other companies advertised with a base salary in the 200s so I know I could just and make more; I’m just not ready to give up all the other pros of my job yet and risk it.

i make 105k and have been here 21y. I could probably find something that pays 125k with a better/no commute (I go in 5 days/week) but I know how to do the job I have (good mix of routine and challenging/interesting and at 55y I am not looking to learn a whole new system/employer/co-workers/etc.
The travel could be interesting since my last child is leaving for college this year and so DH (remote worker) and I could do some traveling together.

For salary, at least 10%, but weigh all the other benefits such as 401k, healthcare, vacation and commute. If you have to go into the office, that’s at least $5k, do you need office attire? Do you need to dry clean? Will you be going out to lunch all the time?

I’m at a job that has current salary $97k plus $9k bonus. Raise varies, similar to government at roughly 3% every year. Bonus is dependent on meeting targets. Pension vests after 5 years. Current boss will likely retire in a few years (her words) but boss’ job is insanely stressful and I wouldn’t want it.
Looking at a corporate job that is $115k, remote, more opportunity for growth, more work life balance.

I'm a fed so increases of 20k are basically impossible, but I took one for about 15k earlier this year that was also remote. (10k if you consider that I would have gotten a COLA at my previous job.) It's saving me time and money on commuting, at least until remote work gets revoked.

I would leave for under 20k if the new job was remote vs in office and the travel was light, assuming I thought I’d enjoy the job. I just took a lower paying job than I wanted so I could be hybrid (mostly remote). I figure time is money and commuting is a huge time suck. Plus the gas and parking.

The benefits and vacation have to be matched or beaten and the commute has to be similar or better as well as the hours. Heavy on the hours and overtime expectations. And yes I need money or growth potential

If you're making $100k with great benefits, what amount would it take you to switch jobs? I've read don't leave a job you like for anything less than $20k, but it didn't quantify what amount you're starting at. What if your current job is in-office but the other job is remote-plus-travel?
