They get eaten so quickly, I've never had a need to try to make them last longer - they've never stuck around long enough to go bad

In season, get to the farmers market before it's hot and the berries last longer than if you buy them midday when it's hot. But any berry variety that lasts for weeks may have been bred for longevity and transportation rather than flavor.

I have no problem with frozen food and understand that they’re more nutritious but to eat them fresh? Bleh.

Two weeks is quite amazing! I'll definitely have to try this next time I buy some.

Yup, I rinse them after the baking soda bath. But it mostly dissolves in the water.

It's been a lifesaver!

I have found the solution to keeping berries last, and for those of us who are spending our children's inheritance on blackberries and raspberries, this is magic. I knew I had to tell the people!

Step one: Soak in baking soda and water for 15 or so min
Step two: drain, then let them sit on these towels, and gently pat them https://www.onceagainhome.com/
Step three: store them in these containers when they are super dry https://www.amazon.com/stores/Snapware/Homepage/page/F5616D0D-8355-49C3-8072-765478692831

It's a berry miracle. Raspberries last two weeks, useful when "we hate those!" this week, and blackberries are the preference.
