I've had two ruggables in my kitchen under the table. We have little kids and I don't want to invest in something until they are older. The first one was light colored and dirt really showed and washing it really didn't do much at all. Now we have a darker one and it looks much better but it's bigger and I'm not sure if would even attempt to put it in my washing machine.

Do the rugs stay in place?

I looked into both tumble and ruggable and decided to pass. Too many reviews complaining of shrinkage, poor quality, ends curling, etc. I went with wool rugs from safeviah.

We have a ruggable in our living room, purchased because we had an aging dog who was rough on rugs. It's fine, I think the pattern is pretty and it definitely fits our need. It is a hassle to have to take it to the laundromat (8x10 rug is not washed thoroughly in a home washer/dryer). And we used to have a vacuum that was not adjustable enough and it would suck up/stick on the fabric. We recently replaced that and the new vac works much better. It does tend to curl up on the edges and we use carpet tape to keep it in place.

They're not great.

I have two ruggables, the standard one and the more plush one. It’s a world of difference between the two, and I do recommend the plush version, with the caveat that you may want or need more to hold it in place than the pad they give you.

I have a couple Ruggables and really like them because they don’t move. I did buy the thicker version…my mom bought a thin one and I didn’t like the feel of it, not enough cushion.

I was considering Ruggable but the reviews weren’t good for the ones I liked.

Cotton rugs are washable if it’s small enough to fit in your machine.

I have a blue and white striped cotton dash and albert rug in my family room. It can get dirty over time but in the nice weather I take it outside, squirt it with dish soap and hose it off and let it dry outside. It looks good and cleans up well. I have a lighter stripe rug and runner by same company in my hallway. They hold up well I think but do take some upkeep.

My Ruggable rugs were ok. They did start to look a bit faded or just “tired” after a few washes. I have a Tumble rug now that looks great but I haven’t washed it yet.

I had one and hated it. It didn’t look particularly nice and washing didn’t get everything out. Hand knotted wool rugs, while more, hold up much much better to grime and can be used washed professionally. And in terms of cost, for a kitchen rug size, may just be a few hundred more.

I'm looking to get a colorful washable rug runner in our newly renovated kitchen. Want something fun that will add a pop of color to our neutral kitchen.

I haven't used Ruggable or any washable runner. Do they hold up well? Any other sites I should keep in mind? Does the rug pad and attached rug from Ruggable actually work and hold up to foot and paw traffic?
