I check regularly because with this house the escrow amount has already been adjusted three times in our first two years. Checking to be sure nothing has fallen through the cracks!

its a silly thing to do, i never look because its so great having locked in money at such a cheap rate. Paying it down is absolutely mental.

One year our bank f*ked up the monthly payment (which included the escrow amounts for insurance and taxes). Too high, naturally. I can't remember the exact situation but I really had to do all the math for them in person and explain it like they were in 5th grade. Was not impressed.

My mortgage is through my bank. So I check it regularly, at least once every two weeks when I get paid or to check and see if they have received my payment.

I can't imagine never checking it or only checking quarterly.

I check all our accounts quarterly to update a financial tracking sheet so I look at the mortgage then.
