I don't think there is much to say. He was hired a few months back. The kids alerted adults when he did what he did. The adults notified the police. I assume he went through a background check when hired.

Abingdon notified the parents of kids in the extended day program and the police have been calling all the parents. There is a meeting tonight for impacted families.

Yes, this is horrible. No system is full proof when it comes to protecting kids, but it sounds like everyone did what they were supposed to after the incident occurred.
