There is no bad community in Woodson and Marshall pyramid. Why do you have to buy there? Another child?

I work remotely and am thinking to move to a community close to 495 so that it won't take too long for me to pick up my kid when there are after-school activities and no school buses available and I like volunteering at school.

At least in Fairfax County, usually the bus pick up from an elementary school in the morning. If an elementary is next to a major road (instead of many of them nested in a subdivision), chances are it is a TJ bus depot.

In the afternoon, instead of the elementary schools, the bus could drop off the students in county libraries or rec centers, so that they can wait for their parents inside a building in case parent cannot be waiting at the bus stop due to work. Sometimes when I go to library on my way home after work I can see kids being picked up by their parents, usually right at the closing time. This means the students were doing homework inside the library and their parents are coming to get them at the last possible minutes.

So at least in Fairfax county, live close to a library, rec center and/or elementary next to a major road would be helpful.

If you join the Arlington TJ group on Facebook and search posts from the beginning of this academic year, you will find some of the info you are looking for. Note that APS provides the transportation to TJ, which complicates things a little bit.

If you join one of the 2028 parent groups (Facebook, Whatsapp, etc.) you should be able to get the info.

They send accepted kids a link to fill out I think to pick their stop.

They had this info at the preview night. You could try contacting the PTSA and asking them for it.
