Find out what service the venue or concert or sports event uses and buy tickets from them. Commanders use SeatGeek so it’s easier to get resale tickets there. Most concerts use Ticketmaster. I’m not sure I’d use Stubhub because of all the horror stories.
I have Army Navy football tickets I'm planning on in selling. I see them for sale on several sites already but they haven’t been released for sale (only for transfer between known parties). They are dynamic tickets. One of the places I saw them for sale says they only accept seller tickets that are pdf or hard copy- these tickets aren’t those but there are many for sale on that site. The buyers will most likely never get their tickets.

THE WORST experience ever. I bought 2 tickets for Billie Eilish over $769+, right there at the concert the code did not work, it was “not found”, I called them for about 2 hours and they pretended sending me new ones and at the very end refunded the money when the concert already started so they sold the same tickets several times. DO NOT USE SEAT GEEK.

SeatGeek is what our local pro soccer club (not in DC area) uses for tickets and it’s always been fine—no issues with transferring tickets. I haven’t sold tickets or purchased from an individual though.

I just used SeatGeek for the first time this week, for concert tickets. The fees were indeed insane — two $84 tickets wound up totaling $256 after fees and taxes. But everything else about the experience was easy and worked well, and I’d do it again.
I had originally opted out of tickets for this concert because TM’s “dynamic pricing” was out of control, so scooping up last-minute tickets at a discount felt like a win-win. (Although the REAL “win” would have been just buying concert tickets at a reasonable price in the first place!)

I've used seat geek a lot and never had an issue as far as the tickets being fake or being left without admission. One time I bought tickets and then got a message that my transaction couldn't be completed. I thought it was a credit card issue, so I just re-purchased the seats with a different one, only to get the same result. In the space of five minutes the seats were gone (not a popular event, so it's unlikely anyone else bought them during that time) and I eventually got a message that the tickets couldn't be authenticated. Actually made me more confident to know that once the transaction goes through, it means there's been some more vetting.

All are legit. You did not mention TickPick, but I find that to be the best site - lower fees, good choice, and good protections for buyers.

I use seat geek a lot and have never had an issue. I like how they set up the 'value' by dot size and color and can show you prices incl fees clearly. I feel like they feel like they are the most trustworthy, but not sure why.

I’ve used Stub Hub many times, no problems.

I used Seat Geek and had a good experience. I'm not sure how it typically works but I had to physically pick up the ticket from the guy who bought it which was a little weird.

I've used both, plus StubHub, all are legit. They all filter the tickets through TM infrastructure.
Always makes me laugh when people demand someone come up with a competitor to TM. Are they monopolistic? 100%. But you'd literally have to break them up like when the government broke up AT&T and created Baby Bells.

I’ve used SeatGeek, Ticketmaster, and StubHub. They were all legit and no problems, I ended up always getting the tickets so they’re not a scam in that regard.
But they do all suck regarding the fees etc., so it is a bit of a racket, the entire resale industry.

Anyone have experience with Seat Geek or Vivid Seats?
The consumer reported reviews for all of these sites (Stubhub included) are horrendous as only the disgruntled post (so it's really hard to tell which are ok).
