This was interesting in recent news with a Felder connection and has disappeared from another thread. Not sure why.

Uh, seems like this should have been communicated?


All Silvestre had to say was "Dr. Felder is traveling today [or whatever] and isn't able to join us. Dr. Johnson will be serving as acting interim superintendent until [date]." This shouldn't be that hard.

MCPS employees get a lot of leave. It shouldn't be any different for her than my kids teachers who are out a few weeks of the year on personal leave.

No teacher gets a few weeks of personal leave.


If they teach at Seven Locks Elementary they do. The teachers and staff there are always out on leave.

MCPS employees get a lot of leave. It shouldn't be any different for her than my kids teachers who are out a few weeks of the year on personal leave.

They should just say she's ill, she's at another meeting, she's had a family emergency, etc. No need for specifics.
