Agree with Florida but not beaches. Everglades and Keys will be lovely weather for hiking, boat trips, etc. but not swimming.

Just FYI, even Miami and the Keys can be too cold to swim in December. Doesn’t mean you can’t have a nice trip but caveat emptor.

Asheville NC. Florida. Coastal areas of GA and SC will likely be mild although not warm.

Recommend a good winter vacation destination in US, we don’t (and won’t) ski. Traveling with two younger teens and an elementary school child. We love to be outdoors, opening to driving or flying, but nothing west coast. We would only have about 4 days.
