I have found it very hit or miss. I have cashmere sweaters from probably 5-6 years ago that have held up beautifully. I also wear tanks from them nearly every day (though sadly they don't make that style anymore). Everything else has been just ok.

I agree about Madewell. Nothing I have gotten there has held up well (t-shirts) or looks good after it's washed (jeans).

I bought a couple pairs of Everlane pants and jeans a few years ago and loved them-nice thick sturdy chino fabric, really flattering. Unfortunately I’ve put on a few pounds and they don’t fit well anymore, ordered some similar styles recently and they are not the same. Sigh.

I tried with Madewell and Everlane. I did.

I work hard for my muscular slim figure and I like to dress to make it look good in a conservative-ish way. Their boxy cuts made ME look fat at 116 lbs! Not a chance I'm paying money to look that way. I couldn't even tailor them to make them look ok.

I feel the same. I took a full year off from clothes shopping in 2023 and I was looking forward to buying a few things in 2024 and I've found literally nothing.

I've bought some flats from everlane that I like and a crossbody bag a few years back when they were in. I like their micro-rib tees for layering. Other than that, I've returned everything I've tried.

I can’t stand their pants. Short women, Everlane makes pants for you! At 5’9” every pair of pants are capris for me.

Ah, Grace & Frankie - Grace’s shirts were to die for.

The clothes are too land and neutral for me but I have several pairs of their shoes.

I feel the same about madewell --- I feel like they used to have some stuff that was flattering and attractive and now when I look at their stuff, I am just uninspired.

I am really sick of designers trying to sell us on very bland neutrals in boxy cuts. I guess it's an improvement over a few years ago when they were trying to add a random ruffle and cut-out holes to everything -- remember that year? That was fun.

What astounds me is that when I watch TV and see women working in professional jobs, they all look phenomenal! So I think the designers know how to make nice looking clothes for professional women -- they just refuse to put those clothes in stores where us normals shop. The stuff on Abbott Elementary, Not Dead Yet and (a couple years ago now) Grace and Frankie all was great -- those are just a few examples.

It was great when it first came out ten years ago but now it’s pretty uniformly boring and unflattering.

I think it is bland. And we've been stuck in this severe use of neutrals for awhile.

I guess it fits and looks good on the people who like it?

I really don't understand the appeal of Everlane. I keep trying to like it but nothing is that great or fits that well. What am I missing? I am a tall, mid-sized woman in her late 40s.
