Not sure if La Jolla is too far from Del Mar, but you might check out the La Jolla Shores hotel. Not fancy, but great location right on the beach.

Looking for a hidden gem that is affordable and near Del Mar (family friendly with pool and open space for gathering). Ok with a chain so long as it’s nice vs dated.

Any recs? Budget is 250-300 per night.
