Subject: Do EMTs etc look at jewelry if it doesn't look like a Medic Alert?
I’m very happy with Road ID bands and wear these daily.
DD has anaphylaxis/food and I have a medical condition.
My PCPs always look at my bracelet!

I agree that it needs to look painfully obvious. My son had a nut anaphylaxis bracelet when he was little and we needed to travel. His bag also had a large yellow tag with "Epipen in this bag" written on it.

+1. I was an EMT for many years, and unless the medic alert bracelet was obvious, I would never have noticed.

I wear one and read to get one that clearly looks like a medical bracelet.

My teen DD's doctor suggested a medic alert bracelet for her. I didn't realize the options were so varied now. Some don't look at all like traditional bracelets. Are people trained to look at all the jewelry on a patient? I don't want to get her something that will be ignored.
