I was hoping to do some math programming over the summer for my rising second grader. It looks like the Vienna location has a camp for kids in rising 2nd, but that location is tough for us (coming from east side of DC) for a daily camp, plus the cost is a little eye popping for just one week ($800+). Thought. the online version might be sufficient to get what we need out of it, but I don't see a program for rising 2nd graders for at the "virtual campus" -- it starts with 3rd.
We did the Beast Academy books for 1st and DC likes them (which is why I though AoPS was a good idea) but I was hoping for something more structured for this summer because I feel like in-school math has been all over the place and we need to fill in some gaps. The RSM closest to use doesn't have any openings for this age cohort for the summer, and I have not heard great things about Mathnasium (but there is a location that is actually very close to us, so maybe I should give it another look, if they even have summer availability).
Any advice? Am I missing something on the AoPs site? Any other options I haven't considered? I didn't realize this stuff filled up early just like camps do -- I thought we'd be able to get DC into a once or twice weekly math class for the summer at this point but I'm hitting a wall.
