Get the wearable! I have the Lansinoh discreet duo which was 100% covered by insurance and it’s a fine pump. Pump using the spectra as much as you can and then the wearable when you can’t (while establishing supply). I also always see lots of spectra’s on buy nothing so you can always get a newer one there if needed.

You can get the pump tested to see if the motor and suction are still good. In DC, the Breastfeeding Center does this for free. You just need an appointment.

Should be fine. They are made to last a year, so you should have another six months at least.

Do replace the flap thingies.

This is what I did, but it was 2 years and an S2. The S2 was used about once a week for a year with my first baby and worked fine for the second. But after I started using the Willow Go, I never went back to the Spectra because the out put was the same.

I got a Spectra S1 during my first pregnancy ~3 years ago and used it for about 6 months. I'm expecting my second in a few months and have an insurance benefit to order another breast pump. Can I reuse my Spectra S1 from the first go-around and use my insurance to get a wearable pump (mostly for post -mat leave when I'm back in the office) this time around? Or should I replace my Spectra S1 which will be my main pump? I'm not sure how long Spectras last, especially if it hasn't been used/turned on in the last 3 years.
