You people really fall for brand names.

Do you also have ridiculously overpriced designer handbags?

HATE our Miele.

Th vacuum head coooooonstantly gets clogged up with longhair from my wife. The design is absolutely, mind warpingly stupid. They are it 1000x pain in the ass to take apart the head in order to be able to remove all of the hair. Putting it back together is worse. Just a horrifically bad design in the head that is overly complex and very difficult to take apart.

My Miele was bought in 2012 for $400+. Still working.

Can’t you get a good Dyson for $5-600?

The Miele is a workhorse. Every other brand of vacuum I have purchased lasted a few years. I've had mine for over 10 years and it's still working like new.

You really didn't spend that much. My central vac costs more I installed them 3x in 3 different homes.

My sister spent that much on a Miele about 20-25 years ago and I made fun of her. She also had a Land Rover at the time, and they weren’t rich. But during the time she had that Miele I went through at least five cheaper vacuum cleaners that kept breaking and going to the shop, or costing more to repair than they were worth, and then I would have to borrow her Miele, so she would make fun of me. She definitely got the better end of the deal, but I don’t think that the current Mieles are as good as the ones from back then.

The Land Rover was a POS from the word go, though.

Lol no, $1,500 is a huge—and insane, IMO—amount of money to spend on a vacuum cleaner, regardless of what your particular family owns.

I think my Miele vacuum cost about 450 bought 15 years ago. It's pretty robust.

We just bought a Miele vacuum. $1,500! And we can’t tell anyone because seems so pricey! But will last us our lifetime
