Do you think Riley is a good actress or only famous because of her family? What else has she done that I should consider?
OK, I’m the poster that responded and I’m back after watching episode two.
So I’m a little annoyed at a few things. I get that it is a different time and a different place and the girls were considered disposable, but I don’t find it believable that the police force was so pissed at Cam for trying to find a missing girl, who is like 15 right? In what universe is it like she’s been missing for a few days, I’m sure it’s fine. I know it’s racism and sexism and all that, but that seemed a little extreme that they at least wouldn’t go through the motions and that they were shocked that she was doing her job of following a lead. Especially since this girl had a house and family, and was not unhoused or like the other girls in the girls home. Again, I’m not naïve. I understand that the whole point is that these girls are disposable, but that just seemed too dismissive and a distracting plot point.
I admit, I’m intrigued by Riley because of her family history so I really don’t know if I would notice her otherwise. She’s doing OK though. I watched a couple episodes of Daisy Jones and the six and I couldn’t get into it, but she was good in that.
I think my problem is, I am holding this to the level of other shows in this genre. I have loved like the killing, and mayor of Easttown, and sharp objects, which are just so insanely good. But I’m going to give it another couple episodes.
