I should clarify. Phone is landline. We left Verizon wireless a long time ago.

We're with Verizon and this is our monthly breakdown:

45 - Fios Internet 300/300
50 - per Mobile
16 - Netflix
10 - Hulu
12 - Amazon
0 - Antenna for locals (not a perfect solution but we rarely watch local TV)

I got an antenna 2 weeks ago. I've never been so happy. Sure Verizon gives me 180 channels. I have no interest in 175 of them. Locally, I know have the 4 network channels plus all the crap that I stream.

As stated in another post, because of their pricing/customer acquisition model. It's reasonable prices for the first year or two, and then absolutely f--k you once the intro period ends and your account reverts to "standard" pricing. It's very frustrating for those with only one provider.

Visible Plus instead of Verizon Wireless. Visible Plus is the exact same service because it runs on the Verizon wireless network. Please note that the regular "Visible" also uses the Verizon network but it's deprioritized when there is network congestion. The downside to Visible Plus or Visible is that there is ZERO customer service and no deals where your phone is subsidized.

I'm lucky to be in a neighborhood served by Verizon, Comcast and RCN/Astound. Their shared business model is to lure you in with a low rate, then creep it up over time. They succeed because people don't get a paper bill and have their bill on autopay - it takes a while to notice they are paying $200 every month. And some people are served only by one provider, which is tough.

We've on our second lap through providers - Erols/RCN - Comcast - Verizon - RCN/Astound - Xfinity and back to Verizon.

We pay $40 for FIOS alone, 100 MBPS. works fine. Price stable for 5 years so far.

Replicating cable is expensive, all live TV is $$.

You have a mobile phone? Mint is $15/month for 5 gig.

You switch to Tmobile home internet and then switch back for FIOS promotion

I love Verizon, best service all round, but I ended up switching to Xfinity because Verizon got too expensive and Xfinity gave me 3 free iPhones.

We’ve used Xfinity for internet and cellphones for many years now. No cable or landline.

I’ve been using Mint Mobile for well over a year and it’s been fine. I pay a year in advance for $240. Prior to that I used Verizon for about $75/ month. So I’m saving $55/month. This is just for phone.
