I agree with the bolded. I've never been able to get stink out of shoes once it sets in. I've soaked shoes in a strong bleach solution for DAYS and then set in the sun to dry. The stink comes back within 1 wearing. Sorry OP, but those shoes are toast. Do they happen to be Keen sandals or other foam-bottom type of athletic sandal? Because those seem to get completely disgusting within a couple of wears. My kids had those and I couldn't even bring them inside the house, they started to smell so bad!

Have you washed the footbed? You can use something like Nikwax Sandal Wash on leather and synthetics
