The sticky pads aren't foolproof. Also really won't stick if temp gets warm.
Unless your dress has thick fabric, won't that just give you a visible "X" instead of visible nipples? The silicone covers stick to your body without adhesive, even if you're sweaty, and they are totally smooth under any tight fitting fabric. I wore them under all my tanks and sundresses last summer and hardly needed a bra ever. It was so much cooler and more comfortable.
