Anyone have experience with the Brightview places? There is a nice, shiny new one near us and the website does a good job selling the place.

Brooke Grove Retirement Home is good (Olney, MD).

I would also look into small group homes. They don't always have the advertisement budget lots of the bigger places have, and they're not CCRC, but if you just need AL, they can be a lot more affordable and your loved one can get more attention since there are often only 4-6 people in a home.

Asbury Methodist Village in Gaithersburg is a nonprofit CCC with a good reputation.

Hard no to Collington: http://www.rockvillenights.com/2023/03/assault-reported-at-rockville-nursing.html

This assault was at Collingswood in Rockville. Collington is a nonprofit CCRC in Mitchellville. Collington is unrelated to Collingswood.

My parents were at Collington and well- cared for. It is worth considering if the location works.

Ring House is sort of a dump for the price point. Much newer places for the same price. Brightview West End and The Seneca are nice and in Rockville; Cadence in Olney is good. If you plan on visiting often, you want it close to where you are living.
