MUAC is the best for this. They have tons of peels of different types and strengths and are super reasonable. Good customer service too if you have questions, have been using them for 15+ years.

200 dollars sounds about right for an in office peel, but yes, the markup is crazy on this stuff.

DP but probably hormones (you idiot).

We had been. We had previously tried a few other things, SA at home included.

Thanks everyone. I don’t know what I was expecting, but it wasn’t that! I just wanted to be sure.

Well, I am uninformed, I guess. I had no idea we’d be doing this today, that’s why I’m asking.

200 sounds cheap. Where did you go OP? DD has the same type of acne.

Pretty normal. There are differ degrees of peels and this was likely a good light peel to see how your daughter reacted. Light peels are usually repeated a couple times for maximum effect.

DD has been dealing with some acne on her back. Took her in. They said her type of acne (blackheads that become inflamed) would respond well to the chemical peel, on top of an antibiotic. It will be around $200, no clue if insurance will cover any of it ye. It all happened so fast, I don’t know if we got taken advantage of.

The nurse used long cotton swabs to gently extract the larger blackheads (she said to open the pores so they could accept the peel) and then she quickly swiped the stuff (I watched her pour it from a labeled bottle into a medicine cup), let it dry, then neutralized the area with a wet cloth, then applied a lotion. She warned it would burn, but DD said it hadn’t, it was just a bit itchy.

Is that it? For $200? Does the process even seem correct?
