White Oaks is our base school so we can’t compare our experiences with other Robinson pyramid elementary school. My child attended AAP in White Oaks from 3rd to 6th grade, the class size is small, only 17-22 kids. They only have 2 AAP classes each grade. No HW, they have an Eagle Time which is 20 min before school end n they can finish their HW at that time. 6th grade teachers are the best, both classes attend 2 teachers classes (each responsible 2 subjects). All the kids in my child class stay all 4 years in WO. Actually parents told me their kids want to stay in their base school because of their friends before, but after a year in WO, they met new friends and they never want to go back to their base school. My child enjoy the school and met many friends that are the same level both academically and maturity.

I had 2 children attend White Oaks, one ending in Spring 2022 and the other 2 years prior. They both had great experiences there, and we loved most of the teachers. It was a great decision for my kids.

Not at all helpful... But I went there 25 years ago for GT and had a great experience (except for the hour long bus ride). I wonder how different it is these days.

We know a few people who've been happy with kids there (both AAP and as base school), but our experience in the Robinson pyramid is that most families stay with LLIV at base schools rather than go to WO.

How recent? DC1 was there for 4 years, ending spring 2020. Was a good spot for her and while not all teachers were great most were good, particularly in 5th & 6th.

DC2 was much more enmeshed in our base school so stayed there for LLIV rather than shift.

WO is a nice school. It's not one of the top centers but is a fair alternative to LLIV. It did seem a bit stronger than the base version, but that may be because our base school has a harmful no HW policy; not all ESs may have that. Of those that qualified from our base school, a good share stayed with LLIV rather than transfer.

Any recent experiences? Worthwhile to place kids from Robinson pyramid, despite logistical drawbacks?
