The gift never arrived and it’s been months.
Should I let giver know they gift never arrived, so they know not to order from that Etsy shop again? Maybe it was a scam?
I don’t want to seem like my main aim is to get the gift, which is something I’ll never use anyway.
It just struck me the person might wonder why I never thanked them after it arrived.

I already thanked her but I would normally send another thank you after the gift arrived to express appreciation.
Since it never showed up, I was thinking I could thank her for the intention and mention I look forward to its arrival. That would drop the hint that they didn’t ship the gift.

I've also noticed a lot of etsy has turned into a cesspool of drop shippers shipping things from china rather than actual handmade items. A friend sent me a baby gift last year through etsy that took 4-5mo to arrive.
