PP^^ Sorry, forgot to answer the second half of your questions.
I did get my FSH tested in 2020, and when my doctor saw it she said it Indicated I was "postmenopausal." So although menopause is usually defined as one year with no period, apparently they can call you post menopausal based on your hormone levels. But I see why they generally prefer to call it at one year without a period because hormone levels go up and down, and can do so, like mine did, for years. The only reason she tested my FSH was that I saw her because i was almost passing out, and mentioned my hot flashes at the same appointment. I'd been almost passing out because of my diet (which was WW, losing about 1-2 pounds a week, but your body can start to freak out when you have been in a calorie deficit for a year and a half apparently).
