Thanks, I would love to do it myself, but the L valve is in a very awkward position, and my arms don't go there.

I’ve done it at AAA repair shops. I think it was about $200.

OP here - adding that that these prior mechanics all charge $800 for a full A/C assessment, when I just want the recharge.

Does anyone know of a mechanic/shop who will do an A/C recharge? I have a high mileage Toyota with some sort of very slow leak that they have searched for year after year with no findings. Last mechanic suspected it "might" be in the evaporator, which is a huge part and huge labor cost because of disassembly of the dash. (And also, no proof that this is definitely the issue). One recharge gets me through the hot season. I would do it myself, but can't reach the L port.
