That was all in - they have a four year comp plan - over the first two years, 180ish base plus significant cash bonus (and a bit of stock); over next two years, base plus mainly stock. I didn’t get an offer, so not sure how negotiable that was!
Agreed it is about 350 all in, but can fluctuate based on YOE. Buddy of mine started at 380K (with 9YOE) and another around 330 (6 YOE) (this was during the height of hiring in 2022). Because comp in years 3 and 4 (and afterwards) is equity heavy, it is boom or bust. Lately due to stock appreciation, buddy who had the 380k offer is around 540k this year.
Also work life balance is heavily dependent on team. My friend works a steady 10-5:30, no weekends.
That’s not normal.

This is correct, though it varies by position. Also, realize that this is not a work-life balance type of in house job.
+1. Is any position at Amazon? High turnover, employees are ranked, and bottom 6% cut annually…I think.
Expect to be PIPped. Plan to be there 4 years max.
I feel like I should know or be able to figure out what "PIPped" but I give up.... ?
PIP= Performance Improvement Plan. Amz creates a PIP that an employee cannot meet. Now they have documentation that they coached you on what needed to change by a specific date and you couldn’t do it. You’re let go b/c you can’t do the job.
