Black coffee, tea, soft drinks, vegetable broth. Once you start chugging the prep in the afternoon, you probably won’t feel like consuming much else.

Mins says to start at 6pm. So I have a whole day of clear liquids.

You can’t go a day without eating?!?

I didn’t even eat jello or broth the day before. All I had was water and coffee. I just had zero appetite.

You could do a vegetable broth you that doesn’t contain tomatoes.

I think the big thing is avoiding things that could become lodged and affect the test, like nuts. Otherwise you don’t need to make big changes except the day before. To be honest I had some clear/light colored gummy bears and I think gum or mints because the prep made me feel a little sick. Did not affect my test.

It’s not pleasant, but doable. I would recommend having something savory at the ready, because sweet liquids get tiresome after a while. I guess that would have to be veggie broth if you’re a vegetarian.

Also, yes to bagels and Diet Coke. As long as the liquid doesn’t have red, blue or purple dye, I think.

Don’t eat the crunchy kind, for sure. But I think smooth was fine. The lists of what’s ok and not seem to vary a bit, depending on where you look.

I ate so much smooth PB on saltines I grew to love them and they’re now my favorite go to snack!

I just did this a few weeks ago. This is essentially what I ate for three days leading up:

White toast
Scrambled eggs
Applesauce
Peanut butter on white bread
Pretzels
Canned pears
Plain yogurt
Mac and cheese
Chicken sausage

And then on the clear liquid day, I ate/drank lemon jello, chicken broth, herbal tea and clear Gatorade.

Clean out was a breeze, aside from the awful taste and consistency of the stuff you have to drink.

I ate a low-residue diet for 3 days, then the prep the day before.

I’ve pretty stressed about this and my dr is very non responsive. What did you eat 3 days before, 2 days before, day before?
Lots of yellow jello? I don’t think I’ve ever seen seen that in a store. Plain bagels? Thanks. Can I have Diet Coke?
