Definitely not looking for anyone like that; looking for ethical solutions. I can only speak for myself: I’m not interested in vengeance. That’s in no one’s best interests, above all our children’s, and would keep my case on the hamster wheel. The only ones who benefit from high conflict are those who financially profit. I just want enough peace to move on with life after divorce.

Ok sounds like you want your ex to agree with you. That's why you want the type of attorney you describe

I am divorcing someone with a personality disorder.

The best thing I did was do marriage counseling for a few months to calm things down. Counselor (male) gave him several reality checks. It was not 100% and am still dealing with a lot of volatility. But it was enough to get us to mediation.

Not saying you haven’t tried OP, but court is not the place you want to meet a high conflict person unless you absolutely have no other option. I’m sorry you’re going through this.

Judges (many) will go along with it for bribes, favors, career advancement etc. The notion of best interest of the child is a non existent thing of the past. Try mediation and save your money. Paying a dirty corrupt attorney is not in your child's best interest. I do know a criminal druggie who bought custody to the tune of 500k. The kid despises them and is an emotional wreck. Think about your kids and not revenge on your ex.

I only know MoCo ones but they tend to out this stuff on their bio and website or reviewers do.
Therapists also have recommendations, having had to go to court as witnesses.

I found he ones who do pro bono work for abuse shelter women divorcing do well and push towards mediating And know when a high income narc will not want things to go to court.

I need someone who could be aggressive if necessary - doesn’t jump at the chance of litigating nor waste time with status quo when it’s clear the other side is intentionally evasive/delaying.

Someone who:
- is fully on my team advocating for my children’s and my interests
- is proactive to stay ahead of problems
- can think creatively enough for effective solutions
- partners with their client to understand goals
- is mindful to avoid issues dragging on or other unnecessary expense
- can reasonably shut down the other attorney’s games, bully-proof
- prioritizes the case rather than their professional relationships and maximizing their bottom line
- understands abuse and personality disorders, and knows how to advise in cases with determined, under-the-radar high-conflict opposing parties.

Someone who can hold their own well against firms like Ain, BBK, Smolen, Masterman Kroggman, Wade Grimes.

This is just one of several steps in my research.
