Agree with the above...I shop Goodwill etc. and I am looking for natural materials first and foremost, not brand names. I never pay more than $15 for anything no matter what.

Expensive clothing. I am selling for half of what I originally paid.

No buyers in sight.

Are times really that hard right for people right now?

This is the problem. As someone who shops mostly secondhand, I'm not looking for expensive brand name clothing that still costs MORE than new clothing from a basic, cheap store like Old Navy. I don't care what you paid new, I don't have a designer budget.

I resell my kids' clothes at Totswap and they recommend 1/4 the original cost as a starting price point. Half is way too much, and if someone is looking on FB, Ebay, etc for kids' clothing, they're not that excited for NWT.

Things aren't that hard for me. I just stopped buying at the beginning of the pandemic and it showed how little I need. I buy new sneakers once or twice a year (I walk a lot), and food, but other than that don't need much. I actually just wore a top today to the office that I'm certain I've had for over ten years.

I tried to sell some NWT clothes on Poshmark. It is very hard. I put them on there probably 2 months ago, and I think 2/3 of it has sold at this point. I dropped the prices to about 10% of what I originally paid, and it is still hard to find buyers. The stuff that sells right away are the middling brands -- I had some Michael Kors shoes that sold immediately.

People can get new clothing very cheaply. They expect a huge discount for used items. And NWT items at resale are used items.

It isn't that "times are that hard." It is that you are way over-valuing what you are trying to sell. It simply isn't worth half of what you paid for it. Probably nowhere near that.

Agree with others. 1/2 price is too much. I can get really nice clothes at yard sales or thrift shops $2 - $15 Everybody sells their kids clothes. Which is why I can get it so cheap.

So I guess actual retail stores are struggling as well then as far as sales are concerned.

This. Half is too much: clothes are cheap.

Also, I buy specific things on ebay or from resellers like thredup but I'm not dealing with meeting a person from marketplace, especially for a random selection of stuff.
