Private will be significantly cheaper but you can’t guarantee quality of care and you’re in charge of schedule. At the same time you have more control over who comes in the home, with HH you may have rotating people.

If money is no object they have services that provide total health home care including a PT, OT, nutritionist, RN, NP or Dr, social worker, etc. You could do something like that in addition to a couple CNAs for direct care. You can also get a sitter for outings, walks, general oversight and a CNA Just to come for bathing and checks. You might also consider just a housekeeper or cleaners to come once a week.

It really depends on immediate level of care and future care level you expect.

Check with your insurance first they may cover some services. People either look on care .com for an elderly sitter or use a home health service for things like CNA.

OP here. just wanted to revise to say I'm looking for nursing assistants or home health aides but could also use someone to help with daily living tasks if home health aides don't do those things. I'm new to this so if you have suggestions for other in home help that I should explore please let me know. Are there agencies? or something like that?
