Yes, go for it! My friend did this timing last year. Try to get the venue squared away asap, and then send the save the dates. I recommend hiring some kind of planner or asking a relative or friend who has event experience to help. It’s not necessary, but for me when I planned mine in 2 months my family member’s expertise was soooo helpful.

8 months. The church required 6 months of premarital counseling before we could get married.

Dated one year. Engaged about 4 months. Happily married for 14+ years now.

I didn't want a big fancy wedding, and I was pregnant and preferred to be married before he was born.

Dated for four months, engaged for three. 7 total months. Will celebrate 20 years next Feb.

9 months. We booked the venue before we got engaged 😬

For us, 2 months, but we had been together for several years (met in college). I don’t think it matters how long your engagement is, just depends on how much time you need to plan whatever you want to do next.

Lol, like two + years. I thought the standard was at LEAST one year.

I know the standard is 1 year but is 6 months too soon?
