This is hilarious to me. We went to so many college tours where Admissions spoke about how meaningful less test scores are.

Anyone could have predicted this outcome. It was not sustainable in the US to not have standardized testing.

My kid won't let me take her SAT, so I guess SHE will have to wait.

CalTech was test blind til 2030. I don’t trust anyone

True, and Harvard backpedaled, so who knows?

Isn’t Harvard the only school to have backpedaled? All other schools have at least some integrity in that they have not promised something, only to pull the rug out.

It is going to be weird, but that’s why everyone wants to go at once, even reversing previously announced policies. If they all go at once all the data will be weird at once.

This is going to be weird. These schools all saw their test scores go up b/c TO meant that applicants stopped submitting if they were below the ever-rising threshold. This year, will those kids who would have been TO submit anyway or just not apply at all? Will the test score ranges come down or will that take a few cycles? Will this actually make it easier for future applicants?

Wonder what the second tier of schools will end up doing, specifically Boston University, Northeastern, NYU, Tufts, Emory, WashU, USC, Tulane. Even schools like TCU, SMU, etc.?
