If you want your base school, you can always have your base school. If you are hoping for a different placement that will be much more difficult since you're coming in after the lottery.

Lottery is in fall of 8th grade for the 9th grade school year.

If you don't move until the summer, then the Choice Process will already have occurred, so there will be no opportunity to rank the schools. They will probably assign you to your base school, but you should contact DCCAPS@mcpsmd.org to find out for sure.

You will get the home school if it's your number 1 choice.

Hoping someone can help answer my question about the Down Country Consortium. If we move to Montgomery County after 8th grade (the summer before 9th grade) will our child have rights to enroll in the high school the house is zoned for? Or will child need to go into a lottery to be placed?
