Yep I’d get sandwiches and pack in a cooler - but I’d be surprised if there isn’t a decent place to pick up sandwiches more local to the meeting site.

That way, you'd be eating 1.5hr old sandwiches instead of 3+ hr old sandwiches.

Yes, I was going to say a Wegmans near your meeting site.

Panera or Jimmy Johns are also decent.

Where is this reclusive meeting that you need to bring food from 3 hrs away? Not even an Uber Eats?

If you let us know, we can help you better.

I would just order. Keeping food for six warm or cold for that long will be tricky and it probably won't taste good.

I don't see the big issue here as long as you have a cooler or something similar to keep the food hot or cold as needed. Some places will even give you disposable packaging if you ask in advance.

Uh no bc anything you pick up at 9 am has been riding in a 70+ degree car and then sitting out at the office until noon. Pretty sure you're not supposed to leave sandwiches/meat etc. out that long.

I'd bite the bullet and order locally and then at 1130 someone there goes and picks it up. Frankly even having Dominos delivered to the office if that's the only option locally sounds better than food that was made at 9 am to be eaten at noon.

Sandwich tray from Panera or similar

yuck. That sounds like a lunch meeting from the 4th circle of hell for sure. I'd be bringing my own food and let everyone else order and risk it.

OP here. Yes, sorry, forgot to mention that there is a toaster oven and microwave and probably coffee maker/stuff for tea. It's the person who is local who suggested someone else bringing the food! I guess they're tired of their own local stuff, but it might have to come down to that. When they come to my neck of the woods, I'm happy to order.

I have to leave DC at 9 and drive.
Working lunch for 6 is at noon.
It was suggested someone bring food.
Where can I pick something up?

Otherwise we'll order, but the location is not urban, so someone will have to drive and food may not be great.
