You are right about paying just for prestige. I know folks pay close to 4k for an EDP 5 level team at Pipeline. I will never understand that insanity.

There isn’t nearly the same commitment from the club on the girls side as there is on the boys’. The best players see that pretty quickly and leave.
They just market the sht out of ECNL - “playing in the best league in the country”. You’re not really playing if you don’t compete, you’re just participating.

Wonder what ECNL is going to do with adding all of these good teams but not getting rid of any of the poorer performing teams? Are they just going to add more divisions and deluge things even more?

2012s not faring any better in pre-ECNL, one win and getting creamed by the better teams. Worst GD by far in the conference.
